Pay Per Click Advertising - Campaign Setup

PPC Firm An early step in any pay per click advertising campaign is deciding on and setting up accounts with the PPC providers you choose.

There are currently two top tier providers in Yahoo's, Overture and Google Adwords. MSN will soon offer a third option. There are also many second and third tier providers. Their reach is significantly less than the majors, but the keyword bids are also often significantly lower. As with the major providers but particularly so with these lower tier ones, you must remain vigilant of click fraud and ROI. Depending on the needs of the campaign, different providers may be chosen.

Once providers are chosen, accounts have to be manually setup. This entails creating usernames, passwords, setting up billing information and creating keyword groupings, along with adding appropriate title and descriptions and designating advertising parameters.
